Retreat Suite has been established in order to serve church groups across the nation, helping people get from thinking about a retreat to actually being on one.

Renee Duncan and Nickie Schweitzer together have over 20 years of event planning experience. Much of this experience has been in planning various types of retreats both separately and together.

Renee and Nickie are both stay-at-home moms and Pastor’s wives. They have worked together for many years both in ministry as well as professionally and have found that their gifts and talents blend well and truly compliment one another. Their commitment to a job well done is not often found in a world that settles for just done.  Knowing that they are a strong team, they had a desire to start a business together. Ideas from opening a consignment store, running a daycare center, baking cookies for mail order and everything in between were being put on the table for discussion. What was really wanted was a business that would not just meet their financial needs but would be able to serve others in the process.

During a retreat planning effort, the idea of Retreat Suite was born. Renee was shuffling through brochure after brochure and making phone call after phone call trying to find a location for her church’s next women’s retreat. She thought, “Wouldn’t it be great if there were some type of service available that would do all of this for me?” The idea quickly turned into the next topic for a business opportunity and the result is Retreat Suite. What could be better than owning your own business, doing what you love, all while helping others.

Looking for a way to balance God, family and work is a top priority as well as using our gifts within our local church bodies. Starting a business that could meet our financial needs, as well as use our gifts to serve churches across the nation is a dream come true.
